‘GLORIOUSLY FUNNY’ - THE SCOTSMAN

Pluck – Musical Arson!  Directed by John Fealey & Toby Sedgwick

What happens when GREAT MUSIC falls into the hands of TALENTED IDIOTS?
You get the world's most musically challenged string trio -
pluck!

As soon as pluck stumble on to the stage the musical anarchy begins!

The hilariously incompetent pluck are not so much a classical trio as a classical mistake! Impossibly, they compete, argue, scheme, ridicule, dance, fight and seduce their way through ‘Bach to Beatles. They play Brahms, Ravel and Vivaldi but in a way that would have the composers laughing in their graves!

Join them for an evening of totally unpredictable Musical Arson!

…a mix of sweet music and complete mayhem’ - Time Out, London
‘Classical music for all ages and shoe sizes’ - Sunday Times

‘Pluck indeed. Brave, often foolhardy, they are natural musicians, natural comics, and indecently gifted on both counts’. - Adelaide Advertiser, Adelaide
‘Dripping with creativity and originality, Pluck’s performance is not to be missed’
- The Star, Kuala Lumpur

Pluck – The Specialists Directed by Cal McCrystal.

The three most stupid musicians in the world have been invited to perform at last!

Highly strung violinist Yarlsberg has designs on the perfect concert and ever enthusiastic Mr Abanathie aims to please with a variety of instruments. Meanwhile, budget celebrity Kadifachi’s surprisingly passionate relationship with her cello threatens to hijack the entire performance…

“Stomach-achingly funny and instrumentally dare-devillish” - Adelaide Advertiser

“If you think classical music is stuffy and pretentious… Pluck will cure you of that notion.” - Seattle Post

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE TITANIC SHOW, directed by Cal McCrystal, is Pluck's tribute to the musicians who played on until the end. Nobody knows what filled the days of those brave few before tragedy struck...

So Pluck have made it up.

Sensitive lead violinist Wally and brutally sincere multi-instrumentalist W'Theodore are joined aboard the fated vessel by stowaway Roger, a strangely small yet enthusiastic young man. As they entertain the guests on board, tensions build as Wally and W'Theodore begin to suspect that Roger is not quite the man he claims to be...

Privileged to be given second class passenger status, the three musicians take full advantage of the treats aboard this floating city. They gamble, paint, relax on deck chairs, and when off duty nibble a potato and dance the night away in steerage. Featuring a real iceberg, one massive porthole, and a very large peanut, all blended with a mélange of great music - and NO Celine Dion!!

“PLUCK are marvellous. There is wit, cynicism and just a touch of pathos as they deal gently, but oh so cleverly, with the tricky topic of the Titanic” - Adelaide Advertiser, Adelaide

“A brilliant mix of high comedy, astonishing musicianship and a touch of romance” - The List, Edinburgh:

Since Pluck's inception at the end of 2002, the group has compiled an amazing list of achievements. Not only have they devised three comedy theatre shows which have played to sold out crowds in four continents, they are also consummate corporate entertainers, expert street performers, and have a cabaret show that is much in demand at private events.

Pluck have also performed at five Edinburgh Fringe Festivals (2002-2006, 2008), stunned an audience of 8000 in a football stadium, played the Glastonbury Festival in white tie, tails, and Wellington boots, been locked up in 'The Slammer' on BBC1, tangoed with patients in hospitals, entertained children in schools, won four international awards, played the Big Brother theme tune on live TV, and interviewed the President of Slovenia in a boxing ring!
