The Sea Show is a quirky and hilarious mix of puppet show, natural history and comedy cabaret.

Meet crazy characters like Morwenna the ‘beautiful’ mermaid, Ruan the reformed seagull and salty seadog Captain Pemburthy, as well as a cast of mischievous sea-squirts, anemones, limpets, crabs and pilchards.

Legend has it there are five types of faery in Cornwall: the Small Folk, the Piskies, the Knockers, the Brownies and - most mischievous of all - the Spriggans.

Come on a journey through the countryside as we search for these elusive creatures, while at the same time learning all about the bees, bats, birds and butterflies who live alongside them.

Meet Skillywidden, the mischievous Pisky, and all of his faery friends! Watch the dance of the ‘beautiful’ Faery Queen! Marvel at the incredible Book Of Nature as it literally comes alive before your eyes! Gasp at the antics of Brian, the amazing mind-reading pig!

Let Professor Johnson of the Squashbox Theatre Astounding And Amazing Astronomical Research Society (S.T.A.A.A.A.R.S) take you on a journey to the edges of space and time! Along the way we will explore the solar system, study the stars and constellations, visit distant galaxies, and hear the fascinating story of John Couch Adams, the Cornishman who discovered Neptune.

Using only silly puppets, ridiculous and unnecessary props, simple household objects and assorted fruits and vegetables, Professor Johnson will reveal the secrets of the universe!

Craig Johnson is a performer, puppeteer and musician living in Penzance, Cornwall. As a solo artist, he performs under the name Squashbox Theatre.

For the last 10 years Craig has also been a member of Cornwall’s renowned Kneehigh Theatre, performing in major national and international tours such as Tristan & Yseult, Cymbeline, Don John, A Matter Of Life And Death and The Bacchae, as well as small-scale village hall shows, including directing and acting in Journey To The Centre Of The Earth.

Squashbox Theatre creates marvelous, quirky and inventive shows incorporating puppetry, storytelling, live music and comedy. Old and young alike are dazzled by his tall tales and fantastic facts, while being tickled pink by his improvisational skills and gently subversive sense of humour.
