Living Spit - Adolf and Winston

Living Spit

Adolf and Winston - Two Actors. Two World Leaders. One Black Dog

London, 1939 - Winston Churchill looks in the mirror, realises that only he can steer our great nation through its darkest hour and steels himself for the hard road ahead.

Bristol, 2014 - Howard Coggins looks in the mirror, shaves, realises he looks a bit like Winston Churchill and steels himself to break some bad news to his good friend, Stu.

Bristol, 2015 - Stu Mcloughlin looks in the mirror and realises that he’ll have to grow a little moustache.

The brand new show from the thespic fools who brought you Elizabeth I : Virgin On the Ridiculous, The Six Wives of Henry VIII, One Man and His Cow and In Cider Story.

"Directed by Craig Edwards, the whole production sweeps along at a cracking pace. Howard Coggins and Stu Mcloughlin ran, bounced, jumped or danced around the stage for the entire evening. The energy and fun was infectious. A great night out – see it quick before it catches on. They won’t change the quality of the props but they surely will need a bigger theatre."

The Public Reviews

‘Cleverly written, beautifully acted, and, dare I say it, educational. Howard and Stu are a double act to keep a beady eye on...both actors perform with bounds of enthusiasm, wit and technical skill; their versatility and range is outstanding.’
Bristol Evening Post
‘Adolf & Winston is brilliantly bonkers’
Bristol Culture
‘Brilliant comic acting....honest, unpretentious, beautifully scripted comedy. As self-effacing comedy goes, this is premier league stuff’
